It’s small enough that I barely notice it under the collar, which is exactly what I wanted for training. The receiver sits flush against the neck and hasn’t shifted even on our longer walks. Only wish the strap were a touch easier to adjust one-handed, but it does the job.
The receiver does stay tucked away nicely, and the collar itself feels sturdy enough for everyday walks. It's just a bit of a hassle to get the strap threaded through the small opening, especially when my dog is impatient to go outside. Works as advertised, but the setup takes a little patience.
